Peninsula Partners Intl. Ltd. is a company headquartered in Hong Kong, founded by a multi-billion USD transnational Far Eastern services and industrial group of European origin and Felix Abt, a business pioneer and insider in the DPRK, resident in Pyongyang since 2002. It served the interests of this group as well as those of other renowned companies interested in seriously doing business with Korea and in particular in the emerging market DPR Korea (North Korea). The shares of the transnational group were transferred at the beginning of 2007 to Parazelsus Ltd., Hong Kong, a company mainly active in pharmaceutical distribution and interested in “investigating other opportunities to make good money”.

The daily and direct contact with numerous DPRK-companies as well as ministries made Peninsula Partners Intl. Ltd. a true business insider. Peninsula Partners has been involved in the launch and development of several businesses in the DPRK, particularly in pharmaceuticals production and marketing (PyongSu), minerals extracting and processing as well as software and multimedia production.

Its first managing director Felix Abt was also co-initiator, promoter and organisor of the Pyongyang Business School which he set up together with the Swiss government´s Development Agency and the DPRK-government. The school has trained North Korean business leaders and managers in a bid to make them and their enterprises fit for world markets. The school also enjoyed support among a number of European and multinational companies. In addition, the European Business Association (European Chamber of Commerce) in Pyongyang, chaired by Felix Abt for some years, became a strong backer, too.
